Pastor Basil Addison Moye, Sr., was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, to the late Pastor Augustus and District Missionary Frances Moye. Pastor Moye graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Elizabeth City State University. He was born and raised in a fourth-generation Church of God in Christ family. He is the last of eleven siblings. His father was pastor of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Pennsylvania for 55 years, and his mother served as a district missionary of the Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania. The teaching that Pastor Moye received from his parents at a young age has helped him to be the man of God he is today. matriculated to the Samuel Kelsey Bible Institute after accepting his call to the ministry and also received private tutoring from the late Dr. Walter L. Morrison, the past Dean of the Samuel Kelsey Bible Institute and Founder of Macedonia Church of God in Christ. Pastor Moye has worked in several positions in the Church of God In Christ, such as Sunday School
Superintendent, youth pastor, and janitor.
He is a gospel preacher who loves the children of God. His greatest endeavor is to win Souls for the upbuilding of God’s kingdom. He is one who preaches, teaches, talks, and lives. “You can make it.”. He has a strong desire to win the souls of the youth in the Community. He currently serves as the President of the Department of Evangelism for the Washington, DC, Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Neavelle A. Coles. He is the Pastor of Macedonia Church of God In Christ in Washington, D. C. Pastor Moye is married to Lady Marie Moye, and they have four beautiful children who work closely within the ministry.
